The new Netflix streaming content for June could make lockdown a bit more bearable as the country continues to fight the effects of COVID-19.

As South Africa prepares to enter lockdown level 3, we’ll still be spending most of our time indoors, so why not make the best of it on your smart TV with some of the great new content streaming on Netflix this month? After all, it is getting colder outside anyway.

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich is not for the faint of heart. This dark new docuseries relates accounts from people who were close to the now deceased billionaire sex offender about his unbelievable lifestyle. The shocking real-life stories paint a grim picture of how Epstein used his money and influence to control and abuse people.

Intuition is a prequel to the successful Spanish language Argentinian thriller, Perdida, which tells the tale of murder, abduction and mystery in Buenos Aires. Young cop, Pipa and her boss, Juanez, head up a task force to capture a kidnapper, while elsewhere, a boy is killed in an intentional hit and run.

Hannah Gadsby: Douglas

Hannah Gadsby: Douglas is the Australian comedian’s second Netflix special following her successful Netflix debut, Nanette. Gadsby’s trademark honesty somehow makes painful situations funnier than they appear at first glance. In this special, she talks about dogs, identity and other real-life situations.

Black Lightning Season 2

Superhero fans can look forward to season 2 of Black Lightning, featuring Cress Williams as the titular superhero, Jefferson Pierce, a teacher and champion for justice who comes out of retirement to defend his family and the city against a dangerous gang. The show also addresses real-life issues like racism.

Riverdale Season 3

Another series based on a comic book universe, Riverdale, brings the characters from the Archie Comics universe to life in a much darker world than the one initially featured in the comics. Season 3 arrives on Netflix in South Africa on Monday, 1 June.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12

The flamboyant and fabulous RuPaul’s Drag Race returns for its 12th season on Netflix. This season is more glamorous than ever, as America’s greatest drag queens hit the runways and the stage to compete for the crown.

Thanks, On the overall plus side Netflix is really great what I like about it is that You can watch as much as you want, whenever you want without a single commercial – all for one low monthly price. There's always something new to discover and new TV shows and movies are added every week!
